Sugar Land is a city that is located in the Fort Bend County in the state of Texas in the United States. It is also known to be one of the fastest growing cities and most affluent in the state of Texas. Between the year 2000 and the year 2010, the city was able to grow a total of 158%. With this, there was also a benefit that came with the rise, between the year 200 and the year 2007, the city was also able to experience a huge job growth of 46.24%. As at the census that was carried out in the year 2010, the population of the city was at 78,817. By the year 2015, the population of Sugar Land had grown to an entire 88,156.
The Origins Of Sugar Land, TX
When the city was begun, it was initially founded to become a sugar plantation which took place in the early 20th centuries. It was, however, incorporated as Sugar Land in the year 1959 and ever since, it is known to be one of the largest cities in Texas as well as the economic for front of the Fort Bend County. The city is also the main home to Imperial sugar and it is also home to one of its major sugar refineries.
